2018

There were 63,420 (6,437 in Essex County) domestic violence offenses reported per the most recent 2016 NJ State Police Annual DV Report. With 62% of homes in America having companion animals, that means almost 40,000 of these victims in New Jersey may have had nowhere to turn to protect their pet family members!

Pet family members serve as therapy providing support, reassurance, comfort and security to children and adult victims of domestic violence.

Our goal is to make a greater impact throughout New Jersey until there are adequate services of co-sheltering programs available to keep families protected together with their pets. Thank you to the Essex County Executive, Mayors and Freeholders who support our mission.

Thank you to all our guests and sponsors who made it such a fun and successful event!
